    (PC: TIMES NOW)

After a year of investigations Bareilly police arrested the murderer who was behind the murder of 6 women in the span of 14 months and the motive behind the murder being his traumatic childhood which led him down this path.

After a year of full on investigation police arrested Kuldeep, the alleged “serial killer” who confessed to killing six women in the 14 months And has been doing so since 2023.

During the investigation it was revealed that Kuldeep had a traumatic childhood where his father married another woman while Kuldeep’s biological mom was still alive.

Kuldeep allegedly had very unstable home conditions where his father used to beat his mother daily which impacted his mental health.

Later on when he got married instead of breaking the trauma cycle he went on and replicated the Same behavior as his father and due to the abuse and trauma his Wife left him.

During interrogation he confessed to starting to dislike women and he also confessed to killing them if he saw the women alone in the field of sugarcane.

Kuldeep did not have any connections to his Victims. But like a predator he would follow his victim and if anyone saw him following he Would leave the trail and follow it Up the next day and kill his Victim then.

In the span of this 14 months the Bareilly district witnessed the murder of 6 women who were found in the same conditions and circumstances raising the fear of a possibility of a serial killer living amongst them.

The bodies were found within a 25 km radius across the village by two police stations which caused fear amongst the villagers.

The age of the victims ranged between 45 to 55 and were found strangled in the fields. Their clothing was disheveled but there were no signs of the sexual assault.

    As reported by TOI:

DGP Prashant Kumar on Thursday told TOI,”We have not dismissed the possibility of a serial killer due to almost identical methods used in these murders”.

Following the leads that Were found police released 3 sketches of the possible suspects and began questioning farmers in 90 villages.

    (PC: TOI)

The first murder occurred in June of 2023 while the most recent victim was Discovered on July 3 of 2024.

    As reported by TimesOfIndia:

“Bareilly SSP Anurag Arya told TOI,”The pattern is clear, strangulation around noon, bodies dumped in farms, and post-mortem ruling out sexual assault. Our investigations, including electronic surveillance, have hit a dead end.”

The Three original suspects that were suspected were arrested but the killings were still going on so it was considered that they may not be the actual perpetrators .

After this the senior officials examined the records of recent prisoners either bailed or that have been released.

The police launched an operation called “Operation Talash” using 22 different police teams to search for the murderer.

Decoys were also planted in the villages to catch the accused, then they  got a breakthrough in one village with the help of the sketches that were given to the police.

Investigation Included scanning of 1500 CCTV’s and installing of 600 new ones and that’s how Kuldeep was finally arrested.

    As reported by TOI:

“Despite CCTV cameras and constant vigilance, the killer remains at large. We have advised our women to move around in groups for their own safety.”

But despite all the odds and circumstances stacked against the police, the cops Were able to catch the real culprit and put him behind the jail and the fear that loomed over the villagers is now Over.
