The short teaser on the Netflix for the second season also shows that T.O.P’s character is Player 230 Thanos. By all means the teaser was brilliant in capturing the undercurrent that is stringing in the second season of the widely acclaimed drama series. During the Netflix “Meet the Cast” video, T.O.P gave a little insight into his character and how he is in a life or death situation.
“Thanos is a retired rapper. After watching Myung-gi’s YouTube and putting full confidence in him, Thanos went all-in, investing all the money he’d saved. But he ended up losing it all, which led him to join the game.”
Without revealing much about this character, but the rapper explained how he got his character into a financially complicated situation, forcing him to gamble. One of the scenes previewed from the video portrays the fight of T.O.P.’s character with Myung-gi portrayed by Yim Si-wan.
As mentioned in the Squid Game teaser video, Myung-gi is a YouTuber who defrauded his audience out of their money with cryptocurrency con and caused others to do so as well. The hatred is thus revealed after Myung-gi is determined to become another player in the games, where he meets Thanos.

He was also exempted from military services that all the Korean men are required to undertake. The elaborate comeback was not one to last; the director has since spoken up more about the hate recently during interviews for the much-awaited second season of Squid Game.
However, the director Hwang Dong-hyuk did not back down for his decision or for the actor he considered would fit the role. He said that T.O.P. did everything he could for this role and he saw the efforts from his audition. He notice T.O.P. tried to develop a new masterpiece with the Squid Game Season 2 and did not miss that chance. Both teamed up to make artists see that he has talent, and that he was not the same one again.
“I have no choice but to show the results of why I had to do this project with this actor. That’s why I didn’t back out and went ahead with it. You may be very curious, and you may not understand why I insisted on Choi Seung-hyun. However, I will reveal that I had my own process.”
Regardless of the controversy, fans of the hit series are excited to see what the creators have in store this season and to see some of their favorite characters back on their screens.
