Sheetal Devi won bronze medal in paris paralympics 2024
On Monday, in the mixed compound open archery event at the Paris paralympics 2024, Devi won the bronze medal with partner Rakesh Kumar. “Sheetal has changed the face of this village Sheetal has brought home a medal and nothing can be more precious than this.” Mann Singh, Devi’s father, commented.
Responding to the viral video, Mr Mahindra whose handle is @AnandMahindra commented on X that: “Extraordinary courage, commitment & a never-give-up spirit do not require medals… #SheetalDevi, you are an inspiration for the country & the world.” Around a year ago, Mahindra asked Sheetal to accept any car from the company’s range and the car would be customized to help Sheetal.
India’s armless wonder Sheetal Devi was out of the event in the women’s open compound round at the Paralympics on Saturday. Sheetal had a problem in second end when she took 7 points and drew the red ring with her toe and Mariana Zuniga from Chile- Silver medalist beat her with 137:138.
In the Paralympics competitors Sheetal Devi was out of the tournament for women compound open category in the round of 16 on Saturday.
