A girl named Richa kar understood the problems of women and created a huge business empire. Being a girl, she used to realize how much difficulty there is in buying innerwear from the shop.
Then he created an online platform and named this company ‘ZIVAME’.
Starting a business was not easy for Richa kar .
Family protested…. friends also made fun
Richa had to face many opposition from her family to establish this business.
When he told about his business to his family and friends, his family members opposed him and the same friends made fun of him about his innerwear business.
But Richa still did not give up and decided to do this business. For which he even left his good job.
Mother said, how will I tell people what my daughter does?
Her mother also protested and said that how will I tell my friends that my daughter is doing bra panty business. But even when her mother did not support her, Richa did not give up. Richa kar left her good job for this business. Richa was born in 1980 in a middle class family in Jamshedpur. Richa completed her graduation from BITS Pilani. After graduation, Richa got a job in a good company in Bengaluru .During that time, Richa came to know about this problem and she set up such a big lounger business.
Started business by taking loan
Richa did not have money for business, she laid the foundation of the business by borrowing from friends and family. Invested all his earnings and savings in business. Created a platform where women can do their lingeries shopping from home without feeling shy.
With the help of Rs 35 lakh, he took this business further.Started a lingeries business named Zivame in year 2011.
Started a business of 1300 crore
Richa’s business did not do well in the beginning. But as time passed, Richa’s business gained momentum.This business of Zivame is operated under Reliance.Which was purchased by Reliance Retail in 2020.
More than 5000 lingeries styles for women on the platform, Undergarments are available in more than 50 brands and more than 100 sizes. Not only this, this platform also provides try at home and fitting consultants. Due to her excellent work, Richa Kar’s name appeared in Fortune India’s “Under 40” list in 2014.

Richa Kar was born on 17 July 1980 in a middle class family of Jamshedpur.She earlier lived in Jamshedpur which is located in Jharkhand but later she shifted to United States with her family.Even after leaving, Richa did not give up her business dream.Her mother was a homemaker and never went out of the house.Richa started her career at an early ageRicha had to face many difficulties in starting her business.Richa had no support from either family or friends.But today Richa has created a business empire worth Rs 1300 crore with her passion and courage.
