Leicester Square: In 1995 Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge produced history by gaining multiple honors while breaking numerous records.
Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol will receive a bronze statue in London’s Leicester Square for their performance in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. The honor granted by Leicester Square’s Scenes in the Square movie trail represents a significant landmark because DDLJ is the initial Indian film to receive this recognition at the famous location.

Through a partnership between Yash Raj Films and the Heart of London Business Alliance the tribute made its way possible. Deputy chief executive Mark Williams from the Alliance described the event as “fantastic” while welcoming the “international cinema titans” to join the movie trail. He explained that Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge represents an unprecedented triumphant milestone among all time Indian films.
