Rapido Driver Harassment: A woman in Delhi became a victim of harassment after a Rapido driver allegedly abused her while he provided service. The woman posted on Reddit under ‘aloogobhi’ after the driver continuously called and messaged her through WhatsApp following the completion of their ride.

Rapido Driver Harassment: A woman experienced this incident at the time she used Rapido for her transportation needs. The driver correctly delivered the woman to her destination before the situation became unpleasant through his intrusive questioning during her payment.
At first the woman had talked casually with the driver after which she maintained proper communication through respectful answers.
The driver made an awkward turn in the conversation by expressing his opinions about her physical appearance and marriage status. He stated that she should avoid using ‘bhaiya’ for him and demanded access to her social media platforms. The discomfort from the woman led her to present a story about avoiding social media before departing from the spot.
“Hey everyone I booked a ride from Rapido yesterday This guy dropped me off on my location and started asking me personal questions when I was paying him I don’t feel bad about any small talk so I started talking.
Then this guy said something along the lines of “aap itne young aur sundar ho fir mangetar kyu” I brushed it off and in nervous laughter said thank you bhaiya to which he said “please bhaiya mat bolo aur ho sake to apne socials share krdo” I lied that I don’t use social media and just ran away,” she said on Reddit.

The whole process of mistreatment continued after this initial incident. On the next day the woman accused her driver of making numerous calls and sending WhatsApp messages that violated her right to privacy. She released a viral post which exhibited the screenshots of the harassing messages while asserting “This guy made dozens of phone calls to me and sent countless messages just because breaking my privacy standards.”
Rapido Driver Harassment: She has presented the complaint to the customer support team at Rapido. Customer service representatives from Rapido confirmed an investigation of the situation which resulted in the permanent ban of the driver from their platform.
