Air India Pilot’s Death Family Says She called 15 Minutes Before Suicide and She was Cheerful

According to the 25-year old Air India pilot from Mumbai wrote her mother and her aunt before the information of her alleged suicide reached her family members.
Srishti Tuli was found murdered in her flat at Marol on Monday. The Mumbai Police have arrested 27-year-old Aditya Pandit on charges of abetting his girlfriend’s suicide.

Police are claiming that she took her life.” Then what did he do to her that surely drove her over the top? The girl was joyfully talking to her mother and aunt. And 15 minutes later she was dead. How did this happen? What did he tell her? What did he do? Police are probing this,” Srishti’s uncle Vivek Tuli said speaking to NDTV.

The uncle also dismissed common IPOs that the Air India Pilot Srishti committed suicide, instead, he claims his niece was killed.

Because what they are telling me is that she killed herself and I do not think it is true. This is planned murder. She was strong, she had to be strong to become a pilot. We have got introduced to her friend namely Aditya who started training with her but was unable to finish the course. He was jealous of her and would harass her,” the uncle told the television channel.

Pilot Srishti Relationship : ‘Couple often fought’

The police said that the Air India Pilot Srishti met him two years ago only when she had gone to Delhi to complete her training. They soon started living in together in Mumbai.

Tuli’s relatives have also alleged that Pandti has been harassing and abusing her besides compelling her to refrain from taking non-vegetarian food.

The police has said that they were frequent fighters, saying that the man would always tease her, which resulted to her death.

“Once, the group had decided to eat non-vegetarian food. When her boyfriend learnt about it, he insulted her in front of everybody. She was disturbed due to the relationship with her boyfriend, who continuously harassed her, leading to her suicide,” a police officer said earlier.

As per FIR, Srishti had known Aditya, who was also a trainee pilot for commercial flying course in Delhi. Although she was able to finish the course to its completion, the same cannot be said for Aditya. Srishti shifted to Mumbai last year after getting her flying license.

Mr Tuli said they had reviewed her bank account statement. Till date we have endeavored to verify only the following check only one month’s statement. During Diwali, about ₹ 65000 was remitted to his family members. In my opinion he was having a black mail with her. I have now requested the whole year’s statement from the bank. Perhaps, she has rejected him money and as a result became a dead body.”

Aditya dwells in Faridabad near Delhi while the Air India Pilot Srishti resides in Mumbai but he stayed with her often. It is bad that police claimed she killed herself.” I have no idea how he was able to manipulate her and force her into that corner. What did he do? Yet she was able to laugh on the phone with her mother and an aunt, only 15 minutes before dying.

Mr Tuli said that Srishti was not discussing any harassment she was facing to her family. ‘She had sort of told pieces of it to her sister’. But the time I bumped into her friends I was surprised by how much he used to sexually assault her. He would yell at her in front of people. There were instances he forced her to alight from the car mid a road trip and drove off,” he said.

He said that the family would seek justice from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. “We are from Gorakhpur. I would go and pleading to Yogi ji for justice. I don’t want to comprehend that she committed suicide.”

Mr Tuli also accused that the Air India Pilot Srishti’s death involved another woman pilot. Finally, we came to know that there was another woman there. One day she contacted the keymaker to open the door, and she took Srishti to the hospital. Who knocks the door and enters someone’s flat without dialing the police? And these are trained pilots. And why would a key maker suddenly unlock a door from the outside?”

The family has accused Aditya of pressurising the Air India Pilot Srishti to turn vegetarian and also forgo non-vegetarian food. They recently quarreled when she failed to follow him to his sister’s engagement ceremony.

The family has lodged a police complaint and as per the FIR lodged under abetment to suicide section Aditya has been arrested by the police.
