On Thursday, four workers reportedly died, while four other workers, suspected to be stuck inside a silo that fell in the Mungeli district of Chhattisgarh at a steel plant, are still missing, reported the police.
The accident happened at noon at Kususm Steel plant, located in the Saragaon area of Mungeli, according to Mungeli Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel.
As per officials, the tall cylindrical iron structure-a silo used for bulk materials storage-misteriously collapsed on around eight workers present at the site.
The police have reached the spot after information has been received and started the rescue operation, the officer added.
The rescuers are now continuing their quest to take out the trapped workers.

As per news agency ANI, “Police and Administration are present at the spot,” Mungeli Collector Rahul Deo told. The operation includes police and administration officials who have reached the scene of the accident after a warning, as per Mungeli Collector Rahul Deo.
The count of dead bodies is still uncertain, and everything is being finalized. 8 workers were reportedly dead, but over 25 workers were buried under debris after the chimney disaster.
