The outcast wife of the former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, has been secretly settling down in the wake of their break up. People, the 50-year-old television host and an author, shared a heartfelt post with Instagram this week where it was mentioned that it is necessary to learn how to release love, and not to hold onto it. We do not even remember sometimes that there is nothing in our lives that we love that should be held. The individuals, the locations, even the times that used to be infinite, right? she wrote along with a dimmed light clip.
The marketing post was published only days following the Justin Trudeau photos of him kissing Katy Perry on a yacht in which the two were caught enjoying themselves drinking cocktails and talking to one another. The trip was only covered a month later when Perry parted ways with Orlando Bloom, who she was engaged to be. Both Trudeau and Perry have not made any statement regarding their relationship.
A flashback into the marriage between Sophie and Justin

Justin and Sophie got married in 2005 after meeting again after a long period of being separated during childhood. The two had initially met in the year when she was a study mate of his younger brother Michel, after which their reunion was in the year 2003 at a charity event.
Their relationship was slow to begin with. Trudeau himself had confessed that he had disregarded her original email, as he was not prepared to do anything serious. They later went to dine and karaoke, sing beside Elton John and Beatles and he would walk into a pole on his way home as is considered by People.
They got married in May 28, 2005, in Sainte-Madeleine d Outremont Church, Montreal. Three of their children are: Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien. The two published a separation statement on August 2, 2023, 18 years after being married. “It hurts deeply. You know, marriage is ‘success.’ Separation and divorce is failure,” Sophie told Next Question with Katie Couric podcast in 2024.
Life outside politics Sophie

Sophie has established her personal identity long before she became the first lady of Canada. Speaking both French, English, and Spanish, she has a career in broadcasting and is a reporter and a correspondent to the eTalk of CTV.
She has also not been shy in explaining how she battles her bulimia nervosa and mental health. Addictions are brain biochemical disequilibrium. My sole means of management in life was eating, so I believed, so I told Erica Diamond in 2011.
She is currently a supporter of mental health awareness, as the writer of the Canadian mental health society.
In 2024 she released her book Closer Together: Knowing Ourselves, Loving Each Other where she discussed the emotional and human resilience, as well as human connection.
Both seem to be navigating new directions though individually, following the announcement of Justin as the one to resign politically leadership earlier this year, but still co-parenting to their children.
She wrote: we have nothing we love to be eternally retained. Human beings, location, time, everything is to be lived and not owned. It is beautiful to be here, to share the laugh, to look the silent glimpse, before it becomes different… Be free to love what is now, without even attempting to make it be.
