Top 10 happiest nations in which kids live: The survival of every child should be equal and happy. There are places in the world, where not only the kids are surviving, but thriving on a platform that runs on love, care, and opportunity. These countries value family close relationships, high standards of healthcare and stress-free education systems that allows the children to simply be children.

According to the recent report by the United Nations International Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF), it is evident that there is an attempt to provide the most favorable environment to children to become happy and well-rounded people in some countries. This study has ranked the nations in the six important fields which covers all corners of health and safety to friendships and emotional well-being. The best performing were the Netherlands, Denmark and France and only a bit further down on fourth place was Portugal.

Netherlands ranked first in mental well-being, which comprised categories such as life satisfaction, depression and suicide. Portugal, too, made its mark coming in the second place. Nevertheless, the report also mentioned that Portugal has to progress further in such areas as physical health (in this case the country is ranked as 10th position) and skills in terms of education and social lives (the country ranks as 22nd position).

Based on the rankings, it was discovered that no nation excels in every single aspect. Eastern European countries such as Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, etc. rated high on mental health but poor in terms of the measures of physical health. On the other hand, the performance of Japan, South Korea and Slovenia were rated high in skills and learning but performance was dismal in mental well being.

Others like Czech Republic and Iceland had excelled in physical health but unfortunately, they had not achieved much in terms of mental and educational achievements-again proving how hard it is to get all the developmental needs of the child in line.
