This morning a man shot his own daughter to death in the Sushant Lok locality of Gurugram. Radhika Yadav, the victim, was a tennis player and a resident of Sushant Lok- phase 2 of Gurugram.
Deepak Yadav, the father, shot his daughter with five bullets and three of them reached her. The man has been arrested by the police.
According to the police, they got a call that a lady was dead on the way in the hospital with bullet wounds. The cops visited her home and discovered that she was a former tennis academy owner and was killed by her father who shot her dead.
The man had been detained, and at the stage of the initial investigation, he admitted of killing her. According to the police, it was the brother of the accused, who stays on the ground floor, who filed the complaint. Deepak was distressed with the fact that his daughter was running a tennis academy and the police reported that he was compelling her to close the academy.
Radhika used to be a tennis player of the national level and had already won a couple of competitions. The young lady of 25 years was killed by bullets at about 10 am in the morning inside her Gurugram house in sector-57.
The gun used by her father is already in the possession of the police and the case is under investigation.

Based on preliminary reports, the father who is the accused aimed three bullets at Radhika and severely wounded her. She was taken to a privately owned hospital where she was in critical conditions but she died in the process of treatment due to her injuries.
The police reached the scene within a short time after the information was given and the accused father was arrested. The revolver which was used during the shooting was found in the house.
Police sources informed that the father of Radhika was displeased with his daughter making reels and even thought that it was bringing disgrace to the family. According to notes, he informed the police anytime he came to his village, he was taunted and criticized by locals because of his career as a musician in social media. This had caused stress to him within the last 15 days and hence he had to take such step.
The hospital reported to us that a 25-year-old female died. Station House Officer of Sector 56 police station told India Today she was shot thrice. We met the uncle of the woman and he said nothing. Then we parked at the scene of the incident where we were informed that this victim was a woman whose father had shot her.”
Radhika Yadav was a renowned tennis star who had not only played at the state level but also at the national level of tennis and won it a lot of medals and awards. But this is not the case because two years ago she got an injury which made her quit competitive sports.
During the last couple of months, Radhika concentrated her efforts on becoming a social media influencer. She often made and uploaded reels on Instagram among others.
