The Saudi Arabia Sleeping Prince Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal Al Saud, Sleeping Prince Saudi Kingdom grew up in a coma and died aged 36. The youthful emperor had been in a coma since 2005 after he was involved in a dreadful car incident in London.
The report was affirmed by Sauds father Prince Khaled bin Talal bin Abdulaziz on X. O blessed soul, back to your Lord, content and contented [with Him] and go into My Paradise Having believed in the will and decree of Allah in our hearts, and with great sorrow therefore, we lament over our precious son.” he added.
Khaleej Times report that Prince Al-Waleed was seriously involved in a car crash when studying in one of military academies in the United Kingdom. The surgery rendered him with serious brain hemorrhage and went into continuous coma, which lasted close to 20 years.

Against medical recommendation that the life support be withdrawn, his father did not agree and he thought his son might have a chance to survive. According to one of Prince Khaled former interviews, When God wanted him to die in that accident, he would have been in his grave now.
In 2019, the prince hit news headlines when he gave slight signs of moving. The reports indicate that he lifted a finger and tilted his head raising hope of the family members and those well-wishers. But these symptoms never went further than sufficient consciousness.
Prince Al-Waleed was related to the most powerful House of Saud. He was a great-grandson of King Abdulaziz or the founder of modern Saudi Arabia and the son of Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz. This was the case though like the King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the current king, he was not in the direct path of succession since he was a great-uncle.
The condition of Prince Al-Waleed attracted the attention of the Internet in the recent past on his birthday when people shared photos of the prince on April 18.
What was the reason why Prince Alwaleed bin Khaled was in coma?
The Gulf News and the Mirror reports that Prince Al-Waleed who was born in April 1990 and was lovingly called Dede by his family members was injured during a car accident in 2005 when he was attending a military academy in London. He was 15 years old at that particular time.

This led to the Prince falling into coma a few days later having sustained very severe injuries on his brain and internal hemorrhage in the intestinal tract. He would later be taken to King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he remained in a coma till his death.
Twenty years of Al-Waleed spending on life support were the result of the decision adopted by his father who believed that only God determines the moment of death and life.
He went as far as to put up videos of himself together with other immediate family members making prayers on behalf of Al-Waleed to recover.
Some of his posts such as Khaled decorating the hospital room of the Prince in celebration of festivals such as Ramadan, Eid, and Saudi National Day turned viral and received millions of views throughout the years.
Al-Waleed father also posted video of his slightest movements of his body such as his hands and fingers raised up but he actually never healed.
His family tried to find medical assistance in specialists all over the globe but all in vain, Prince Alwaleed never woke up.

Doctors recommended to the family in 2015 to start discussing termination of life support, but his father, Prince Khaled, strongly declined, and he still had faith in a possible recovery.
In 2019, there were some minor muscle reaction in his fingers and head that gave the family some hope but it did not help him.
During twenty years that Prince Alwaleed was in a coma, he was always treated by the assistance of doctors in Riyadh.
His father Prince Khaled bin Talal never lost hope and kept on insisting that life and death are in the hands of God.
