The Restaurant of Mistaken Orders is The Charm of Imperfection.

One of the most touching ones must be The Restaurant of Mistaken Orders (http://www.mistakenorders.com/en/home.html), and initiative started in Tokyo in June 2017. This special place has its workers with dementia at its helm and, as a result of this position of vulnerability, wonderful misunderstandings of food inquiries turn into chances of touchy communication and understanding humanity better.

The idea, inspired by the urge to build awareness of dementia and to create a more relaxed society, has received an international recognition, as well as numerous awards. It is a perfect example of how imperfections can be celebrated to build the most positive and memorable experience, change the perspectives, and touch upon the beauty of a human connection to an impeccable service.

    World Diversity of Integrated Eating

The culture of inclusion in food and beverage industry is much wider than Japan alone and there are plenty of examples around the world of restaurants and eateries introducing the same forms:

Bitty and Beau Coffee (USA): Originated by the names of the children of the business owner, who have Down syndrome, this coffee shop carries fierce motivation of employing people with intellectual and developmental health conditions.
