MrBeast’s Engagement: Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast-the world’s most famous YouTuber-has made news with Thea Booysen, a popular gamer and internet personality who hails from South Africa. Their digital paths had long been paved before their first meeting.

It was in 2022, during a trip to South Africa, when Jimmy met Booysen through a mutual friend during a dinner party. They are now cut to 2025 when MrBeast proposed to his girlfriend-only to find out that she accepted his invitation.
He shared the proposal moment on social media through two pictures; with his girlfriend sharing their relationship status, He posted two pictures which captured the moment when MrBeast proposed to Booysen.
“I planned a big box drop for wow factor before revealing the real gift-with the ring inside-because I would go down on one knee and propose,” MrBeast added.
“Of course she said yes” and was “extremely excited,” MrBeast said, explaining that he wanted his engagement to be “really private and intimate” instead of extravagant.
As far as the gorgeous ring is concerned, MrBeast proposed Booysen with a diamond on a rose-gold band with more diamonds on either side. Regarding their marriage, Booysen stated that they are planning to finalize the destination on an island.
“We’re not going to try and have a big, extravagant wedding. It’s going to be nice but certainly intimate-close family and friends,” she said.
The first frame shows MrBeast on one knee presenting the ring to his girlfriend. The second frame captures Booysen showing off her beautiful diamond ring. “So I kinda did a thing,” he captioned the post.

The post was flooded with celebratory comments, which have amounted to over 21 million views. “Did she just say yes or no? No contest or 15 mini-games before all that?” one fan wrote. One fan commented, “This is awesome. I hope you both have the best life and many little Beasts.”
“Disappointed you didn’t make her earn it in some sort of challenge, lol but congrats,” commented a third fan.
Who is Thea Booysen? MrBeast’s fiancée
Thea Booysen is another online video content producer like MrBeast. She goes by the gamertag TheaBeasty and builds herself a career as a professional esports commentator and gamer. In the beginning of 2016, she launched her gaming career by streaming card games on Twitch and YouTube.
As per a report in PEOPLE, she co-owns Nixuh, one of the leading South African esports organizations, alongside her professional gaming activity.
In 2022, Thea Booysen graduated from Stellenbosch University, garnering a bachelor’s degree in law as well as an honors degree in psychology.
By November of 2024, she completed her Master’s in Neuropsychology from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. In the year of 2022, Thea Booysen released her first young adult novel, The Marked Children, written first while in high school.
