Kerala news: A 25-year-old woman’s deceased spouse got arrested after her relatives made allegations about his physical and mental abuse of her. Law enforcement officials established criminal charges consisting of suicide abetment and cruelty against women meted out by spouses or their familial relatives.

Vishnuja entered into her marriage with Prabhin during May 2023. It was an arranged marriage. Prabhin who worked as a male nurse was responsible for persistently demeaning Vishnuja.

According to her family members Prabhin would constantly tell her she was unattractive while putting her down for not finding employment. Moreover the relatives accused him of physically abusing her. He never realized my child faced his violence.
Vishnuja’s father Vasudevan revealed his statements to the media saying his son Prabhin constantly criticized his wife because of her thin appearance. He denied her participation in bike riding because he considered her unappealing.
Soon after their wedding he instructed her to start working because she should not depend on his salary. Her attempt at taking examinations failed to secure any employment opportunities. The attempt was substantial but eventually she failed according to him.
Before her death Vishnuja failed to share the abuse with her family who learned about the situation only through her friends.

She refused to expose anything regarding the hardships she experienced. She rejected our attempts at assistance by promising to change him. Only now do I discover that my child faced assault from her husband. According to Vasudevan both he and his family learned that the husband maintained relationships outside his marriage.
In his belief Vishnuja was murdered because he believes Prabhin committed the crime which led to her death. Prabhin’s family is also accused by the woman’s family of supporting his mistreatment against her daughter.

After Vishnuja suffered her tragic demise many friends revealed alarming details about her experiences. The report published on Manorama online shows that Prabhin subjected Vishnuja to both physical abuse and mental torment while doing so based on information his friend linked to his phone.
She finally decided to confide everything to me because she could no more tolerate the situation. The friend declared that she advised her to go back home.
The friend of Vishnuja suspected Prabhin monitored her WhatsApp messages because he wanted to know if she discussed her situation with her friends or her family members. The phone he used had his WhatsApp number connected with hers.
She maintained total silence with all of us when using the WhatsApp messaging platform. The young woman used Telegram messaging to communicate with her friends because Prabhin was unaware.
