Tesla head Elon Musk and Indian-American biotech businessman Vivek Ramaswamy have begun recruiting employees for their new future Ministry of Productivity in Government (MPG). Now the twist here is that candidates would have to subscribe to X to be able to submit their resume.
Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy will co-chair DOGE under Trump 2.0 presidency.
This is coming few days after the President- elect Donald trump nominated them to head the DOGE department.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) which was formed by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy has called for people to apply to work for the new US department under Trump’s second presidency. The vacancy states “high IQ, small government revolutionaries, willing to work more than 80 hours per week”.
“We are grateful of the Americans in their thousands who have shown interest in volunteering with us in DOGE. It doesn’t help when we hire employees who are happy to give ideas part-time while they are occupied with other permanent full-time jobs. ”What we require are extremely smart people who believe in small government revolutionaries capable of working more than 80 hours per week on non-glorious expense reduction,” the DOGE wrote on X.
Only 1% applications will be assessed by Musk and Ramaswamy to fuel their Tesla ambitions. Anyone who is interested should write in for the position of job in the X DM of the department as per the post.
There is no requirement of educational qualification or experience of job for getting this job. All applicants require is approval of their X account, for which payment of $8 in a month affords direct message (DM) into DOGE’s X account.
More importantly, the job is a volunteer service that does not attract any remunerations.
On Tuesday, Trump launched the “Department of Government Efficiency,” an organisation that works separately from the government but provides the White House with advice and guidance as well as teamed up with the Office of Management and Budget to fund large scale structural reform while introducing an entrepreneurial culture to the Government for the first time.
It has the abbreviation DOGE, which is also the stock through which an oriental dogecoin is bought and sold. It will be led by Musk and former GOP presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy.
By Trump’s own account, the two will be running the “Manhattan Project of our time” and will “abolish” the $6.5 trillion federal government.
Since DOGE has its handle now on the social media platform belonging to Musk the department announced hiring of the team members.
How to apply for DOGE
First of all, the necessity to pay for the premium platform membership in order to submit resumes is an essential requirement for applicants.
‘We are really thankful to the thousands of Americans who have shown interest for assisting at DOGE. We don’t need more part-time idea generators,” Department of Government Efficiency said in its press release on X.
Whether it is so, write your resume to this account in the direct message line. Earlier in its report, the article stated the following: “Applicants with the highest engagement scores will be considered for an interview, specifically Elon & Vivek will review the top 1% of applicants,” it added.
Mr Ramaswamy, for his part, said, “That stands in contrast to the many government bureaucrats who: ‘Laziness,’ that the opposite can be a result of (a) doing very little work, (b) telling people the things they want to hear and (c) earning more money than you are worth.’
President-elect Trump launched Department of Government Efficiency with the vision of cutting spending in the federal government, repealing over-regulation, & revitalising federal institutions. As an organization not funded by government grants, DOGE will provide “outside of government insight and recommendations.” However, Trump has put pen into paper and vomited that Department of Government Efficiency should accomplish its obligations by the Independence Day of the USA in 2026.
