Elon Musk On Tesla Cybertruck Explosion: “Evil knuckleheads chose the wrong vehicle for a terroristic2 attack. Cybertruck actually contained the explosion and directed the blast upwards. Not even the glass doors of the lobby were broken,” Mr Musk posted on X.
Early Thursday morning, a 2024 Tesla Cybertruck that is said to have been rented via the car-sharing platform Turo went up in flames outside the entrance of the Trump International Hotel. The blast claimed one life and injured seven, according to the authorities in Las Vegas.
Indeed, the injuries suffered by the people concerned were minor as the hotel was evacuated as a precautionary measure.

The proofs showed that the explosion was a consequence of items kept in the penalty area of the truck, such as fireworks, liquefied gas tanks, and camping propane. All of these had been attached to the detonation system, which was provided to the initiator by the driver.
Jeremy Schwartz, who is in charge of the FBI’s special agent on operations in Las Vegas, said that the investigation is being led by the agency’s joint terrorism task force.
That event raised speculation concerning a communication to another incident that occurred a few days earlier in New Orleans. In that situation, an individual drove into a crowd of tourists celebrating New Year’s and left at least 15 dead and dozens wounded.
Authorities identified the alleged attacker as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who is 42 years old, a US citizen, and worked as a military IT specialist before. He had also been charged with being inspired by the Islamic State group.
US Army Veteran Behind Tesla Truck Blast Outside Trump’s Hotel: Report
The person, who has been identified as the possible culprit behind the explosion of the Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump hotel in Las Vegas, is a 37-year-old US Army veteran, Matthew Livelsberger, say reports from US media.
The incident happened in front of the main gate of this hotel, killing one person and injuring at least seven others.
The New York Post reported that Livelsberger rented the pickup truck in Colorado. He drove up and down Las Vegas before stopping just outside the hotel.
The FBI is investigating links between the Las Vegas explosion and last week’s New Orleans rampage in which a truck ran over part of a crowd before opening fire and killing 15.
The suspect in the New Orleans incident – the 42-year-old Shamsud Din-Jabbar – is another US Army veteran who served in the battlefield of Afghanistan during the period 2009-2010.
Both vehicles involved in New Orleans and Las Vegas were rented through Turo, a car-renting company.

Lo and behold, fireworks, gas tanks and camp fuel was present in the Tesla truck. Fireworks, gas tanks and camp fuel were all found within the confines of the cyber vehicle.
It is part of the ingredients leading to detonation linked with an electric vehicle. At least seven people have been injured in the incident.
Fireworks, Gas Tanks – What Was Present In Tesla Truck
According to reports, the Cybertruck had fireworks, gas tanks, and camp fuel in it. Again, the drive with the electric vehicles was involved in the explosion combination of the three. At least seven people have sustained injuries from this incident.
Police released video capturing the charred gasoline canisters and firework mortars that could be found in the bed of the burned cybertruck.
Meanwhile, Tesla founder Elon Musk termed the blast outside the Trump hotel an “act of terrorism,” adding that the design of the electric vehicle minimized the impact of the explosion “such that a significant part of the hotel escape serious damage.”
