Sean “Diddy” Combs, also known as big revelations was sentenced on Friday. The attorney of the embarrassed music mogul said that the 55-year-old was almost stabbed in jail and has been punishing himself. In July, the artist of the song, I’ll Be Missing You, was convicted of taking people throughout the country so that they could sexually meet with him, as well as his girlfriends and male sex workers. He was acquitted, however, of charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy by a jury.

Prosecutors sought a 11 year sentence against Diddy. Defense attorneys argued that the right sentence would be 14 months, which would see Combs out by the end of the year when credit is given on time served.
Diddy was nearly stabbed
In the sentencing hearing, defense attorney Brian steel affirmed that Diddy was stabbed by another inmate at least four times at prison.
Everyone knows him, that is, Sean is not an ordinary person in custody, Steel said. It is a prize to them, they have some Mcpromotion in case they maim him.
The attorney also mentioned that his client did not spend more than two hours straight since he was arrested.
He has got a way of eating, he dines in bags, he eats chips all day long, he said. At times he would say to me, it’s not worth it, there is nothing over there, there is no hope anymore. But his family–he could not inflict pain on his family again, that would be another trauma to them.
‘Has punished himself’
The lawyer of Diddy has said that the rapper is a great man. The media have described Sean as a disgrace, an outcast, a leper, and so on, this is wrong, said Steel. “I know Sean personally. He is a terrific man, and is now receiving a trial, yet he has accomplished things that I should fain dream to perform.
Steel said that Diddy has punished himself more than anybody will ever be in a position to punish him. It will remain with him during the rest of his days, the lawyer added.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces the possibility of years in prison in prostitution case

Sean, Diddy, Combs, is being sentenced on Friday in a scandalous criminal case that may subject him to years of imprisonment. In July, a jury convicted the hip-hop mogul of transporting people around the country to engage in sexual activities with his girlfriends and male sex workers in violation of the federal Mann Act. He was cleared of more serious racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges which would have resulted in a life sentence.
Sentencing of Sean Combs (Diddy) begins.
The prosecutors would prefer to send Combs, 55 years old and convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, to serve 11 years and a half in jail. His attorneys believe that the punishment is not only wildly out of proportion but also want the person released immediately.
Scott Combs will not see freedom soon and U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanias one who will impose the sentence has refused twice to grant bail and has indicated that he is very unlikely to leave federal custody. On Friday, the judge mentioned that although Combs was not found guilty of some of the charges, the verdict does not exonerate him of being guilty of underlying behaviors which includes violence and coercion.
They charged that Friday sentencing was about accountability towards Combs and justice to the people.
It is a case of a man who did terrible things to true people in order to please his sexual appetite, said the prosecutor Christy Slavik. “He didn’t need the money. His currency was control.”
Combs was also attacked by the prosecutors who said that he had registered a speaking engagement in Miami next week, which they claim that he had supposedly been free to carry out. And, that is the epitome of arrogance, Slavik said.
Shortly into the hearing, prosecutors told the judge that the sole Combs accuser who was to testify in person withdrew after defense objections.
Once personal assistant, the woman has claimed to be raped by Combs in 2010 and has sought the judge to sentence him accordingly indicating a continuing threat that my abuser presents me and other people.
His attorneys indicate that Combs will speak to the court and they intend to present an 11-minute video that will focus on his family life, career and philanthropy. The judge affirmed that the children of Combs as well as an ordained minister will have a say.
Combs came into the full courtroom, in a side door, accompanied by deputy U.S. marshals, and clad in light-colored sweater, button-down shirt and dark trousers. He embraced his attorneys and welcomed his family and friends.
In front of the Manhattan courthouse, photographers packed in as lawyers and family came out, reminiscent of the almost two-month trial Combs faced previously that saw women testify about being beaten, threatened, sexually assaulted and blackmailed by his client.
Jurors were told by the former girlfriend and R&B singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura that he had told her over six hundred times to engage in disgential sex with strangers during their ten-year relationship. Video footage was repeatedly shown to the jury of Combs dragging and beating her in a Los Angeles hotel hallway during one of such multiday freak-offs.
A woman who gave evidence under the name Jane claimed to be subjected to violence and to feel compelled to have sex with male sex workers during drug-themed hot hotel nights when Combs observed and even photographed them.
The prosecutors also summoned witnesses who provided testimony on other violent incidents in order to establish their case on racketeering. A friend of Cassie claimed that Combs suspended her on a 17th floor balcony. Rapper Kid Cudi was called in to testify, confirming that Combs had broken into his home after he had heard that he had Cassie as a girlfriend.
Even though jurors found Combs not guilty of racketeering, Subramanian can look at that evidence when sentencing. He is also weighing letters by Combs and some of his accusers.
Combs, in his letter Thursday, informed the judge that he had died in jail and a new self has been born, which would never repeat the crime.
In her own letter, Cassie stated that he was an abuser who was never going to change since he is always the same cruel, power-hungry, manipulative man.
The attorneys of Combs claim that the sexual liaisons were consensual and that jail has brought sobriety and repentance to him. They argue that he has been already sufficiently punished. Combs informed his family, including his mother and children, that he is getting paid closer to coming home at a hearing last week.
