British rock band Coldplay has added an additional date for their Music of the Spheres World Tour to Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The four-piece group comprises lead vocals Chris Martin, guitar player Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and Will Champion on drums. They will perform at the Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25, 2025. Tickets for this event are booked starting November 16, 2024, on BookMyShow.

Last September, Coldplay and its Mumbai shows became the talk of the town. With all three concerts selling out, several fans who could not get tickets placed an online ticketing fraud complaint against unofficial ticketing platforms. BookMyShow and BookMyShowLive official handles issued a statement, warning concert-goers of online ticket scams while booking tickets.
“Protect Yourself from Ticketing Scams! Prevent yourself from falling prey to unauthentic websites offering fake tickets for the concerts of Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025 in India. As it has emerged, unauthorized websites have started selling tickets of Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025 in India, even before the officially announced date of ticket sale as well as after that. Such tickets are not valid,” the update added.
“Ticket scalping is illegal in India and therefore prohibited by the law. Don’t fall prey to it as you’re buying a duplicate ticket. Avoid scams! Only BookMyShow is the official ticketing platform,” the statement read.
Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing summons BookMyShow chief executive officer and co-founder Ashish Hemrajani and the technical head of the company for allegedly black marketing tickets for the Coldplay concert.
The Ahmedabad exhibition is reportedly being organized in view of the huge demand articulated by fans, reports add.
Quoting the earlier incidence wherein tickets for the Coldplay concert in Mumbai quickly sold out, most comments contained “I saw the post, now please remove this,” “It’s time for yet another disappointment,” and “Lord father in heaven, with your grace let me get these tickets.
