On Tuesday, a Mumbai court gave a notice to the husband of former actor and Miss India winner Celina Jaitly and an Austrian hotelier Peter Haag following an allegation filed by her against him under Domestic Violence Act of domestic violence, cruelty and manipulation. The actress who entered the Bollywood screen with Janasheen in 2003 has accused the businessman of abusing her emotionally, physically, sexually and verbally.
Through her petition, Celina Jaity has alleged that she had to leave her home in Austria and go back to India as a result of the abuse.
Celina Jaitly came into the limelight of news recently, as she approached the Delhi High Court, seeking legal and medical help of the Indian authorities to help her brother Major (Rtd.) The claims of Vikrant Kumar Jaitly that he was arrested in UAE illegally.
In the year 2010 Celina Jaitly wed Peter Haag. In 2012 they had twin children. Celina Jaitly became a mother to a second set of twin boys after five years where one of them died shortly after birth as a result of a heart defect.
Peter Haag is an Austrian business person, hotelier, marketer, and brand planner.
Reports show that he has served in the hospitality business with the leading hotel chains in Dubai and Singapore.
Prior to his marriage to Celina Jaitly in 2011, Peter Haag served in various marketing and management positions in some of the classiest hotel chains including Emaar Hospitality Group in Dubai.
Celina Jaitly once in an old interview had talked of her first encounter with Peter Haag. The two initially met in an event in Dubai. The No Entry actor attended the opening ceremony of the shop of the Indian fashion brand that she endorsed.
Celina Jaitly and Peter Haag got to know each other through a family friend.
It was a family event of a great lounge and Peter was also invited. and there was a recognition in me, very strong, as I at first saw Peter. In fact, we did not talk to each other but I just simply knew he was my husband when he walked in despite the fact that we had never seen each other before.
It is strange now that I saw him come in wearing a black jacket made to fit, he looked so good in it I thought, at that very instant, Oh…here comes my husband, it was so good I had knowne better but, I just shook and pushed away the thought that I was quite insane. Regrettably, ironically it is precisely what Peter believed as well. Another example was in 2010, when Peter Haag visited the parents of Celina Jaitly in India.
One evening we went to one of our favourite resorts. This time that evening he had specially asked me to wear a sari. That day, he suggested marriage in the evening and the two of us were engaged in a low profile ceremony at our house in Mumbai on September 23. We had a year before getting married, been engaged a year, she had said.
Celina Jaitly had been taking numerous pictures of love with Peter Haag in her social media. Last year alone, she posted an Instagram photo on their 14 th anniversary of engagement.

In today filed petition, Celina Jaitly described Peter Haag as a narcissist, who had alcoholic tendencies where he did not allow his wife to work even after marriage.
Celina Jaitly has also been demanding loss of earning of 50 crore against Peter Haag. She too has demanded Rs 10 lakh as monthly maintenance and divorce of their children who reside in Austria with their father.
The plea also indicated that Peter Haag had earlier on in August, applied at a court in Austria to get a divorce.

In her petition Jaitly, 47, claimed that 48-year-old Haag is a narcissist who is a self-absorbed person and who has no empathy towards her and their children.
She argued that she has been subjected to extreme emotional, physical, sexual, and verbal abuse by her husband, due to which she was incited to leave her house in Austria and move back to India.
The actor (through a team of law firm Karanjawala and Co.) claimed maintenance of 10 lakh rupees every month and requested the court to ask Haag not to enter her house in Mumbai. She also wanted to be taken into custody of their three children being currently resided in Haag in Austria.
She mentioned that Haag had forbidden her to work after they had children on different excuses and deprived her of her economic self-sufficiency and respect.
She informed me that she could only complete small jobs on the discretion of Haag occasionally.
Her request also added that Haag had applied in August this year before a court in Austria to have the divorce.
In March 2012, Celina Jaitly and Peter Haag were the parents of twin boys. After another five years, she gave birth to a second set of twin boys after which one of the boys passed away because of a hypoplastic heart.
The former Miss India and even Miss Universe contender had also written a very romantic post on social media on her anniversary with Haag last year.

Now 14 years later and after numerous highs and numerous, numerous lows we all look back on everything we were meant to withstand together, that was all I said.
Just recently Celina Jaitly, had visited a court in Delhi, demanding help in her brother, Major (retired) Vikrant Jaitly, claiming that he was kidnapped and imprisoned in the United Arab Emirates against his own will.
She informed that her brother had been living in UAE since 2016 and was working in the MATITI Group that deals in trading, consultancy, and risk management services.
She claimed that the Ministry of External Affairs has been unable to obtain a piece of simple information regarding her brother such as the state of his welfare and the juridical position since he was arrested in September 2024.
The court then requested the authorities to make efforts to allow contact between the actor and her brother to be made, not only in contact between him and his wife.
