Bryan Johnson India: Ever since the US tech millionaire, Bryan Johnson walked out of Nikhil Kamath’s podcast recording due to poor air quality, he has been a hot topic on social media. The anti-ageing advocate recently took to X to explain how the poor AQI affected him in India.
Bryan Johnson India Podcast Incident
The millionaire, in his recently posted note, has warned the Indians to “organise themselves” and said that the solution to poor air quality in the country is far more important for its health than curing cancer.
“There has sparked a firestorm of debate in India since I walked away from a podcast due to poor air quality. Indians organize yourselves and take action. You will do far more to improve health in India by cleaning up the air than by curing cancer,” wrote Mr Johnson.
Bryan Johnson also shared a meme that has gone viral since he walked out of Mr Kamath’s podcast recording, stating that the pollution has caused his “skin to break out in ash” and burned both his “yes” and throat. The meme compares him wearing a face mask while indoors at a relatively better AQI to a child in Delhi waking up without any issue in a poorer air quality condition.

Earlier, Mr Bryan Johnson had also stated that he walked out from the middle of Mr Kamath’s podcast recording, as he was uncomfortable because of the air quality in the room, which was at an AQI of around 120. Calling Mr Kamath a “gracious host,” he mentioned that outside air was coming into the room, which rendered his air purifier ineffective.
By the time he left, Mr Bryan Johnson noted that the indoor AQI had even elevated itself to 130, with PM2.5 levels at 75 micrograms per cubic metre – a dose that is equivalent to adorning 3.4 cigarettes over a 24-hour period.
Bryan Johnson Social Media Post About This Incident
Rash on the skin occurred just after three days in India, confirmed the millionaire. His continued eye and throat irritation were all as a result of the well-acknowledged air pollution in India. “Commonplace in India has become normalized air pollution.
Outside people would be running. Babies and small children exposed from birth. No one wore a mask, which can significantly reduce the exposure. It was just so confusing,” he wrote.
Mr. Bryan Johnson had even questioned the reason why India’s leadership had not made a national emergency out of air pollution and quoted different studies on the health effects of air pollution. Cleaning up the air quality would in all ways be shown to improve the health of the people of India more than curing all cancers, he said.
In an earlier post on social media, Bryan Johnson also explained how he left Nikhil Kamath’s podcast halfway through. Apparently, even when inside his own arrangement of purifying air, it was tough for him to breathe properly.
At first, he wore a mask while having the podcast but then related how he couldn’t take it anymore and went out. Also, he explained that he developed skin rashes and burning sensation in his throat in the first three days after coming to India.
Reiterating previous statements of the millionaire on the unclean air of India, he said that on several occasions a solution to AQI issues could have gotten India to progress even faster.
