With cool references, slapping music and quirky dialogues, Bad Newz movie is your watch for the weekend. As per Hindustan Times the film has opened at almost 9 Crores.
Why to watch Bad Newz Movie?
While Janam Janam and Vicky Kaushal’s moves in Tauba Tauba stormed over the internet, the theatre fills you with visuals of a much more crafted story. As this Apoorva Mehta and Dharma film starts big, we hope to see the graph going up over the weekend.
Bad Newz is directed by Anand Tiwari. As per IMDb, Bad Newz movie official synopsis reads as, “A crazy laugh riot which will show the outcomes of two sophisticated Punjabi men and a Christian-Hindu girl. One of the men has a one night stand with the girl and somehow, craziness happens when she is pregnant unexpectedly.”
It is good to see the slow brewing bromance between Vicky Kaushal and Amy Virk. Amy who has been seen after 83 and Qismat on the big screen has done a sweet boy role as Gurbir Singh Pannu. His acting comes as a sweet breeze with the already solid Vicky Kaushal.
Newzzy’s Review of Bad Newz Movie:
The film runs on Dharma’s sole principle that family is the driving force of any relationship. It also addresses some serious phobias, and gives a strong woman image who fights for her dreams. Also, the film is based on heteropaternal superfecundation, so be prepared for a ride.
As per Pharmeasy, “Heteropaternal superfecundation is a very rare event that happens when two eggs released in the same menstrual cycle are fertilized by sperm from two different males through separate sexual encounters.” Or to put it in ‘Akhil Chaddha sab do vadda’ terms, it is two twins having the mother’s eggs but two different father’s sperms.
As the chaos unfolds right from the start, it is interesting to see a clear blend of romance and its levels mixed in the film. While Tripti’s character could have been given more layers, her dream of being the Meraki star has always been a driving force in the film, and not to forget some interesting faces have made a guest appearance too.
As this film is a rough presentation of this phenomenon, do not get too Scientific and enjoy it with the flow. While the film has received backlash from a lot of viewers, one should avoid taking younger kids as the film has adult scenes all over.

As per a viewer review, this is being said of Bad Newz, “this movie was entertaining”, “a mindless comedy with some good references” whereas others have also called it “worst”.
Maybe the seriousness of the phenomenon did not reach them through the layers which can be the film’s downfall. But if you want a film that makes you see through men, their behaviours, a career oriented woman and latest takes on love, Bad Newz is your go to.
Do not set your hopes too high but give the film a chance to unfold itself. Overall this film is a 4/5.
