Raksha Bandhan festival, with its profound symbol of love and care between sister and brother will be held on Saturday, 9 August 2025, on the occasion of full moon (Purnima) the month of Shravan. This 53-minute time frame is considered as the time that is the most conducive when conducting sacred rituals such as the tying of Rakhi.

Rahu, according to professor Ramraj Upadhyay, Head of the Department of Priesthood, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, New Delhi, is a shadow planet as far as astrology is concerned. Its effect is supposed to be bad in undertaking anything good or spiritual. Rahukaal takes nearly 1.5 hours each day.
