Chris Martin of Coldplay responded to a Kiss Cam at one of the band concerts in which Astronomer CEO Andy Byron was kissing Kristin Cabot, Chief People Officer of the company, on camera, fuelling speculation of an affair. On the jumbotron Byron and Cabot could be spotted, both stood wrapped in the arms of the other. When the camera pointed to them, they moved aside and hid their faces.
The leader of Coldplay noticed them at the concert held at Gillette Stadium, Boston, Massachusetts, Wednesday. He was making a joke out of it; he said, “Oh, look at these two, either they are having an affair or they are very shy” and this caused laughter of the audience.

This moment rather speedily became viral on the social market such as TikTok, Reddit and Twitter. Internet readers responded to the incident with a lot of shock, amusement and criticism with some people sympathising with Byron wife and others criticising the recklessness of the two.
One of the social media users wrote: sorry to the wife but happy to see them being exposed and embarrassed.
Another user said, “How sad.”
They are both altogether numbskulls, sorry. what are you going to a concert of all things when you are having an affair, a third asked.
The case has initiated the discussions on corporate culture, and users discuss issues like professional behavior in the working environment and personal relations.
At the moment, neither Astronomer, nor Andy Byron, made an official statement about the incident.
Who is Kristin Cabot?
Kristin Cabot is the Chief People Officer of Astronomer, the company building Astro, the data orchestration and observability platform built on Apache Airflow.
She has been appointed to the position in November 2024. In an interview with Techrseries published January 13 she said: “I prefer to categorize my position in the world of People Strategy.”

The two, shown on the big screen at the show, were visibly surprised as Chris Martin said, “Oh look at these two,” not knowing that the two were not husband and wife. The incident opened a floodgate of speculation on the internet and eventually blew the lid off what seems to be a full-fledged cheating ring involving Byron, who is the CEO of tech company Astronomer, that is based out of Cincinnati.

Byron is the CEO of Astronomer, as the LinkedIn profile shows, he has been holding this position since more than two years. His previous work experience was at Lacework which is a cloud security company located at Mountain View, California.
His work experience is also filled with high profile positions under his name, like the Chief Revenue Officer of Cybereason, Boston, CEO of Fuze, Vice President of Sales in BMC Software, and previously with BladeLogic and VeriCenter. According to his LinkedIn, Byron has a degree at Providence College.
The company that he leads, Astronomer, presents itself as developing Astro, the most popular data orchestration and observability platform which runs on Apache airflow. The company claims on the internet site that, Astro is accelerating the creation of trustworthy data products that uncover meaning, unleash AI value, and drive data-driven apps. The company developing software is pegged to be more than $1.3B.
The leadership team of the firm has a very small row of only eight members which include Byron. The others on the site of the company are: Leo Zheng, Vikram Koka, Kristin Cabot, Pete DeJoy, Mike LeBlanc, Viraj Parekh, Greg Neiheisel, and Carter Page.
