Abhishek Bachchan has given a unique insight into how his family copes with the never-ending publicity, but on the relationship they have with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. In a recent encounter, the actor presented how they have given their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, a chance to overcome online gossips and keep her feet on the ground.
In an interview with PeepingMoon Abhishek explained that their daughter has been greatly aided by Aishwarya making her way through the commotion of their lives in the limelight.
Aishwarya has made Aaradhya admire the film industry to do whatever we do so much. He has taught her that we are what we are because what the films and the audience have provided this of us said he.
The proud father also told that Aaradhya is becoming a self-confident teenager with strong individuality. “She has an opinion. She is a very sure teenager. She is quite different in opinion, and we talk about it behind her back, but she has a delightful manner of telling all things, he said.
Aaradhya, however, is not connected much to social media and gossip portals despite the surrounding she is growing up in. Abhishek disclosed that she does not own a mobile phone and she is concentrating more on the studies.
She is not yet 14 years old, and she does not have a phone. Her friends, had they wished to speak to her, must phone her mother that and that was what we had both agreed on long time ago, he said. She does have access to the internet but is purely academic in her use of the internet. She can access internet but she is rather engaged in doing her homework and research. She is enamored with school so that she is into that, he added.
On whether Aaradhya ever runs into the rumours about her parents or finds herself the victim of said rumours, Abhishek replied that it is simply not in her interest to surf those kinds of sites.
“I don’t think she does that. I do not believe that is what concerns her, and she will not trust anything that she reads. Her mother has taught her not to believe anything that she reads, he told her.
Abhishek proceeded to tell us that their family is run on transparency, which helps keep off unwarranted doubts or misunderstanding. As my parents used to be with me, we are all open with the family. In that way, we are never at a place where one has to question anybody, he said.
The actor also responded to rumors that have been in circulation since long that he has stopped smoking and drinking because he learnt that Aishwarya was pregnant. I confirm him on this, he said, I have put an end to both these, regrettably. No, I don’t touch them at all.”
Since 2007, Abhishek and Aishwarya are married and have a daughter named Aaradhya born in 2011.
