In July 2019, he was charged with major criminal offenses by the federal government after being put under arrest. A month later, the story states that he took his own life in a cell while waiting for the trial.
Giuffre, one of Epstein’s victims, filed these documents as part of a lawsuit she started against Maxwell in 2015, according to The Guardian. She was one of numerous young girls and women who earlier had sued Epstein for taking advantage of them in Florida, New York and New Mexico.
Almost 2,000 pages were made public in connection with the case in 2019. Additional versions of the documents were released in 2020, 2021 and 2022 too.
