NASA: Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore have planned their mission to return to Earth as late March approaches. The astronauts spent eight months in space because of space fleet malfunction followed by operational interruption.

On March 12 Crew 10 will assume station control of the ISS from Ms Williams and Mr Wilmore before they return a week later to perform the required handover procedures.
The crew members of mission 10 include commander Anne McClain alongside pilot Nichole Ayers together with mission specialists Takuya Onishi representing JAXA and Kirill Peskov representing Roscosmos.
The astronauts will spend the last two weeks before launch under isolation conditions per NASA’s statement to protect against possible illnesses before they will join crew members at the space station.
The team members of Crew 10 will embark on Dragon spacecraft launched by SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets from Launch Complex 39A at NASA Kennedy on March 12.
The scheduled launch time for Crew 10 to fly aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 spacecraft and a Dragon vehicle will be 7:48 p.m. EDT on March 12 from Launch Complex 39A at NASA Kennedy.
The estimated homecoming date for Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore depends heavily on meteorological circumstances.
The personnel traveled with Boeing Starliner spacecraft to International Space Station on June 5 during the previous year. A combination of helium leaks as well as thruster malfunctions made the Starliner unfit for its intended return trip.
NASA’s Commercial Crew Program used $3 billion of funding to support SpaceX in developing the Crew Dragon capsule.
Exploring outer space through human missions comes with numerous unexpected problems during its operation. Through a partnership that connects NASA with SpaceX guidance and Spitax’s unmatched responsiveness the program achieves its adaptive operational capability according to Steve Stich who manages NASA’s Commercial Crew Program.
