On Saturday, October 7, former UK prime minister Rishi Sunak visited the Taj Mahal with his family.

In a high-security detour, Sunak was escorted to the monument by his wife Akshata Murty, mother-in-law Sudha Murty, and his two daughters, Krishna and Anoushka.

“What a breathtaking visit. The Taj Mahal is one of those few places in the world that can unite. Our kids will never forget seeing this… We are extremely grateful for the warmth of their hospitality. It was an unforgettable experience for our entire family. Thank you,” he wrote.

Akshata Murty, his wife, also had this to say about the experience: “A memory for the ages”.

The throng had now swelled massively.

Rishi Sunak and his family waved to the crowds and greeted them with folded hands.

Rishi Sunak, who was in India, had earlier, on February 2, 2023, watched the 5th and final T20I match of the series between India and England at the celebrated Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

A tough day for England at the Wankhede, but I know our team will bounce back.

Congratulations Team India for the win.
