Zomato Rebranding: Founder Deepinder Goyal announced to shareholders in a letter that public renaming of the company would occur when something beyond Zomato emerged as a crucial driver for its future growth. According to Goyal the company has arrived through its Blinkit platform.

Zomato Rebranding & Renamed as Eternal
Zomato Renamed: Zomato announced a renaming change for its company to “Eternal” alongside a new logo which the platform initiated internally more than two years ago.
The company announced it will rename to Eternal which combines its main business components Zomato for food delivery along with Blinkit for quick-commerce and District for live events and Hyperpure for kitchen supplies operations.

The company experienced a major transformation since investors expressed doubts about the Blinkit acquisition during the middle of 2022 until fast-commerce growth became the focus of rising investor attention.
The shopping habits of Indians have undergone transformation because of Blinkit and Swiggy’s early bird Instamart which forced retailers including Reliance Industries’ JioMart and Indian entities of Amazon and Walmart to introduce their own quick-commerce initiatives.
