Indian Immigrants in US: After US President Donald Trump implemented his strict immigration policies 104 Indian migrants ended up leaving behind their dream of an American future to return home all the way from South America via perilous boat crossings and border detention centers to a flight back to India.

A native of Punjab Tahli village Hoshiarpur district Harvinder Singh paid an agent Rs 42 lakh to obtain US visa authorization but the promise failed to materialize. The Indian visa failed at the very end to come through so Singh found himself taking flight after consecutive flight from Delhi through Qatar to Brazil.

No success came from his trip since authorities arrested the Jalandhar district native in Mexico while he was attempting to cross the border into the US. We spent fourteen days in complete darkness inside the cell because we never set eyes on daylight.
He made an appeal to avoid using illicit routes for migration because thousands of Punjabi families and boys along with their children face these same conditions.

Indian illegal immigrants: The first deportation of Indians from the United States took place on Wednesday when 104 illegal immigrants from various states arrived by US military aircraft at Amritsar.
Local authorities shared with PTI that 33 deportees originated from Haryana and Gujarat whereas 30 came from Punjab and three residents were from Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh while two civilians were from Chandigarh.
The group of deportees included nineteen women and thirteen minors whose youngest was a four-year-old boy with two girls who were aged five and seven respectively.
During their transport to Amritsar Jaspal Singh indicated that immigration authorities restrained the passengers’ hands and legs from the beginning until the airport landing. He had chosen a travel agent who guaranteed a legal immigration process to the US at a cost of Rs 30 lakh. US Border Patrol detained him after Brazil when he stayed there for six months until January 24.

The daughter of Kanubhai Patel left Europe thirty days ago with her friends on what he believed was a vacation trip. She developed no plans after reaching Europe.
The telephone conversation with her ended on January 14. The only question that remains unanswered is how she managed to arrive in the United States according to Patel who resides in Chandranagar-Dabhla in Mehsana district Gujarat.

Donations for illegal immigration to the United States from Punjab brought massive debt upon families who expected American success. Family members demand severe punishment for those agents who deceive migrants.

plenumerous residents of Behbal Bahadue in Kapurthala borrowed considerable sums of money to send Gurpreet Singh abroad after mortgaging their home. Faithgarh Sahib residents paid Rs 50 lakh to send their loved one overseas although they now face substantial debt from obtaining high-interest loans.
Every year the four Punjab districts of Jalandhar Hoshiarpur Kapurthala and Nawanshahr collectively form the ‘NRI Belt’ among which many residents undertake yearly migrations to foreign lands.
