The actor went for the High Court a second time more after his arrest whereby he requested the FIR to be dismissed against him. The case against Allu Arjun
The incident occurred on the night of December 4 when a large crowd of fans thronged the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad to glimpse the actor at the premiere of his latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. When there was stampede like incidence, one woman was killed. Her son is currently in a hospital being treated for an illness and he is recuperating.
The police added that a criminal complaint was filed at the Chikkadpally police station under sections 105 and 118(1) BNS against the actor, his security personnel, and the theater authorities by the deceased’s family.
On Wednesday, Arjun went to the High Court and moved an application to quash FIR and prayed that all further proceedings and arrest may be stayed till the disposal of this petition.
Earlier in the day the actor had offered ₹25 lakh as financial aid to the family of the deceased women. Something that was shocking in the case was that in the afternoon the man who found the victim said he would remove her complaint since he did not think the actor was guilty.
Big twist in Allu Arjun arrest case, victim’s husband says he will withdraw complaint
Predictably, when reporters began raining questions on the families of the two boys soon after Allu Arjun was arrested in Hyderabad on Friday, Revathi’s husband Bhaskar avowed: “The only reason we went to Sandhya Theatre that day was because my son wanted to watch the movie. Of course it was not the fault of Allu Arjun to visit the theatre that day. I am ready to withdraw the case. I was Never told by Police that he has been arrested I saw it on the news while at the hospital. He (Arjun) has no connection with the stampede.”
By the way, Allu Arjun was arrested on the basis of Bhaskar’s complain. Hyderabad Police arrived at the residence of Allu Arjun in Jubilee Hills on Friday morning to arrest him. He was taken to the police station where he was expected to be interrogated, the police added. He was later rushed to the Osmania General Hospital for medical examination before he was taken to the court.
