Speaking on the condition of anonymity, Usha Rangnani, the deputy commissioner of police (IGI Airport) said the bust was made when they were investigating a fake visa for Schengen Sweden-issued produced by a passenger.

The deputy commissioner of police at IGIA, Usha Rangani, said that they came across the center while probing a fake Schengen visa from Sweden produced by a traveler.

Police arrested seven people and during the raid of the premises where the visas were made, police seized 30 fake visas, three Italian PR cards and 16 passports where 14 of them belonged to the Nepali citizens.

Delhi Police’s deputy commissioner of police (IGI Airport), Usha Rangnani said they came across this operation while probing a fake Schengen visa issued by Sweden presented by a passenger who was trying to board a flight to Rome from Delhi Airport on September 2.

The passenger, Sandeep Singh, who is now arrested, pointed to one Asif Ali as a person who helped him to obtain the visa. The accused, Ali aged 27 years old, told Singh that he would get him a visa to a European country for ₹10 lakh.

Police have said that the main accused involved in the racket is 51 years old man named Manoj Monga who lives at Tilak Nagar. The others arrested were Balbir Singh, 65 of Nangloi, Naveen Rana, 25 of Nepal and Shiva Gautam, 42 of Nepal and Jaswinder Singh, 55 of Faridabad, Haryana.

Later, an investigation was initiated after filing FIR was registered. The police said Sandeep, who was planning to shift to another country, had been meeting Ashif Ali, a travel agent. Sandeep decided that Ali would go to any of the European country if Ali pays an equivalent amount of Rs: 10 lakhs. The two bank accounts included one of the agents where Sandeep paid Rs 7 lakh and the second which he paid Rs 7 lakh as well as in cash they offered Rs 50000, said the officials.

Modeling his appearance, Ali and his associates — Naveen Rana and Shiva Gautam — procured tickets and a Sweden visa for Rome trip of Sandeep, said the DCP. Since then, many of them including Ali Rana and Gautam were arrested followed by Balbir Singh and Jaswinder Singh arrests, she said.

Police revealed that Jaswinder Singh told the name of Manoj Monga who is the specialist in design and preparation of fake stickers. Monga was arrested from his house in Tilak Nagar where he resided and was operating his fake visa racket, they said.

As per police, accidentally five years back Monga met Jaideep Singh and they both set up a factory to prepare fake visas in Monga’s house. Later, Monga also begun issuing fake appointment letters to his customers in order to ensure their visa look authentic, she said.
