Top 10 richest Chief Ministers (CMs) of India 2025: The Chief Minister (CM) of India is the elected leader of government in each state or union territory with its own legislature and is entrusted with governing their state.
Indian political leaders are regarded as very wealthy; out of the 30 Chief Ministers of states/UTs, two, or 7 per cent of them, are billionaires in the new Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and National Election Watch (NEW) analysis.
Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh is the wealthiest of all with share value of over Rs 931 crore, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has over Rs 51 crore, and Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu has 332 crore.
They are also among the highest declared liabilities; 11 of the listed CMs declare liabilities of at least Rs 1 crore.
In striking contrast, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has reported the lowest assets of 15.38 lakh all of which are movable with no immovable property.
The top 10 richest Chief Ministers in India have 3 members of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the first- Pema Khandu, Mohan Yadav, and Himanta Biswa Sarma- and two members of Indian National Congress (INC) and other political parties.
Moreover, the self-proclaimed income of the Chief ministers is 1, 334, 738 and the total assets of these Chief ministers have been reported to be 1, 632 crores.

N. Chandrababu Naidu: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu is the richest Chief Minister in the country as he has assets worth more than 931 crore. The Heritage Foods Limited Company is run by his wife, Nara Bhuvaneshwari and daughter in law, Nara Brahmani, which Naidu founded in 1992 to resolved the milk scarcity.
It comes as no surprise that the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu is the second wealthiest Chief Minister in the country with assets of over Rs 332 crore. Khandu owns a large amount of assets and business enterprises, which gives him a solid base to rank among the two wealthiest Chief Ministers. Naidu and Khandu are billionaire Chief Ministers.
Siddaramaiah: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah comes in next with assets fetched to over Rs 51 crore. Though his wealth is much lesser as compared to that of Naidu and Khandu, he is still richer than most Indian Chief Ministers.
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is the poorest in the nation with an asset of Rs 15.38 lakhs in assets followed by Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah (Rs 55.24 lakh) and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan (Rs 1.18 crore).
Other Chief Ministers such as Bhagwant Mann of Punjab, Nitish Kumar of Bihar, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Chhattisgarh chief minister Vishnu Dev Sai have meagre assets totalling Rs 1.46 crore, Rs 1.54 crore, Rs 1.64 crore, Rs 1.97 crore, Rs 1.97 cro
Out of the 30 Chief ministers nine are mere graduates, six are professional graduates, nine have postgraduate degrees, two are doctorates, one has diploma, three have had 12 th standard, and one has had 10 th standard. At the age of eight years, 41- 50 years have four, 51- 60 years have 12, 61- 70 years have four, and 71- 80 years have six CM.
