Shane Tamura, a 27-year-old resident of Las Vegas, who was already known as the perpetrator of the shooting in the headquarters of NFL compound in New York City on Monday, mysteriously left a suicide note to say that he was a victim of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and asked that his brain should be tested by a medical team.
CNN reported: In the note, Terry Long football told me I had CTE, and it made me drink a gallon of antifreeze. There is no use going against the NFL they will put you out of business. Examine my brain, do. I’m sorry. Put Rick on and apologize to him over everything, please.”
The note known by the investigators was written on three pages and was a short note. Terry Long was a football player, who played in Pittsburgh Steelers. diagnosed with CTE and later committed suicide when he drank antifreeze in 2005.
CTE is a degenerative disorder which has been widely aligned to the football players since it may arise due to the repeated concussions and other types of head injuries. Tamura was a football player back in his younger years.
The NFL had offices situated on the fifth phase of the office tower. The structure accommodates some of the most successful financial institutions of the country such as the giant of the world of private equity Blackstone, and KPMG.
He came sporting a long rifle and also wore a bullet-proof jacket and was spotted entering the 44-story office building in Manhattan. He had a permit to possess the gun in Nevada.

He is said to have shot people inside the Park Avenue skyscraper building which is only a few blocks away to the Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Centre and the Museum of modern arts.
Around 6.40 pm the suspected shooter opened fire when he first exchanged fire in the lobby of 345 Park Avenue with an NYPD officer. He later moved to the 33rd floor after which he locked himself up in the office tower, presumably the 32 th floor of the building whilst setting the area off with lockdown.
When Tamura was on the 33rd floor, he committed suicide by shot himself in the chest.
It is clear that we had the 254th mass shooting in the US today in New York, which proves that gun violence is a massive issue in this country.
According to a post by the frontrunner in the race to be the mayor, Zohran Mamdani on X, he stated, “I am heartbroken to hear of the tragic shooting in midtown and I am keeping the victims, their families, and the NYPD officer… in my thoughts.”
The shooting has been briefed to Kathy Hochul who is the New York Governor.
The biggest goofball: Shane Tamura
According to Clarke, Tamura changed schools just before they were to enter our senior year in 2015, going to Grenada Hills High School in Los Angeles after attending one in Santa Clarita, California. He called the shooter in Manhattan the class clown.
Clarke said, He was the greatest goofball there ever was, just full of energy, class clown.” It is just a matter of him being one of those guys, he has so much going on his side. He just needs to learn how to deal with the entire school process and then he can be a really great person.”
According to Clarke, he was out of contact with Tamura since high school. But the two have now met via social media and Clarke found out that Tamura was now employed in a casino in Las Vegas. He said that it was surprising that the 27-year-old committed an act of violence.
